<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />pLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINiITES-MARCH 26, 1991 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Present: M. Betts, R. Bowen, L. Orlowski, A. Skoulis, J. Thomas, and <br />B. Gorris. <br />Absent: T. Morgan. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director Dubelko, City Engineer Deichmann, <br />Building Commissioner Conway,.and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIE14 AND CORR.ECTION OF MINUTES : <br />Mr. Orlowski advised that on page 3, 17th line should read "...radius swing <br />for a tractor with a 40 foot trailer.." M. Betts moved to approve the minutes <br />of March 12, 1991 as amended, seconded by A. Skoulis. Roll call on motion: <br />Betts, Bowen, Gorris, Orlowski, and Skoulis, Yes. Mr. Thomas abstained. <br />I II . BUILDING DEPARTMIINT REQLTESTS : <br />1) Brooklor Center, 26075 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to construct building adjacent to the existing Dr. Erwin Jay <br />Building. (Continued from Planning Commission meeting of March 12, 1991.) <br />Chairman Gorris advised that this proposal has been withdrawn by the <br />developer. <br />2) Office Warehouse, 4706 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Renovation to store front and addition of loading dock on the former Kiddie <br />City tmit in Olmsted Plaza. <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review on March 20, 1991. <br />No representative present, will be called later in the meeting. <br />3) A Stone's Throw Apartment Project (formerly Shore West Apartments) <br />Located south of Brookpark Road, west of Clague Road, and adjacent to the rear <br />property lines of lots on the north side of Mastick Road. <br />Proposal to construct apartments <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review on March 20, 1991. <br />Mr. Bollinger, representing Shore West, explained tha.t a plan showing the club <br />house relocated to the middle of the site had been presented to the <br />Architectural Board but they ultimately approved it as shown on the north side <br />of the Clague Road entrance with the stipulation that a 5 foot high, <br />wolmanized, board on board fence be installed along the property lines. In <br />response to the Commission's previous requests: the forester had advised that <br />the spruce trees at the Clague Road entrance would not be suitable for <br />transplanting, suggesting that 10 foot spruce trees be planted; Mr. Bollinger <br />clarified that the playground was fenced in with a 3 foot chain link fence but <br />no fencing had been required by the Architectural Board along Brookpark Road; <br />City Engineer Deichmarm had reviewed the wetlands report, but could not speak <br />1
