Maloney, T. Restifo, and R. Gomersall <br />Absent: B. Grace <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />M. Gallagher moved to approve the minutes of May 1, 1991, seconded by T. <br />Restifo, and tmanimously approved. <br />1. Veronica L. Widmer, 6018 Louis Drive. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 3 foot front setback variance (over <br />maxiimim) to construct foundation for future attached garage. Violation of Ord. <br />87-93, Section 1135.06(a). Also request special permit to add to non-conforming <br />dwelling (front setback over maximum). Special permission required Ord. 87- <br />93, Section 1165.02< <br />Chairman Restifo called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mrs. Widmer who explained that she wanted to put in a drive and <br />a foundation for a garage which is to be attached to an existing garage. The <br />present garage is used as a utility room because she had been told it would be <br />dangerous to put a car in it. This foundation would be 3 feet over the max;mum <br />setback. The members had seen the site. E. Gallagher moved to approve the <br />request for a 3 foot front setback variance (over max-irm,m to construct a <br />foundation for future attached garage and also to grant the special permit to <br />add to a non-conforming dwelling, for Veronica L. Widmer, 6018 Louis Drive, <br />seconded by T. Restifo, and unanimously approved. Variance and special permit <br />granted. <br />2. B. P. Oil, 29131 Lorai.n Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 25 foot corner lot setback for <br />diunpster enclosure. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1139004. <br />Approved by Planning Commission April 9, 1991. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />explained to Mr. Wright, representing B. P. Oil, who explained that the <br />proposal had approvals from Planning Corrmnission and the Architectural Board to <br />renovate the building but a variance was required for the location of the <br />dumpster since it is in the side set back. The Architectural Board had <br />required that the dumpster be enclosed with a gray wooden enclosure. He showed <br />exactly where the enclosure would be on the site plan. T. Restifo moved to <br />grant B. P. Oil at 29131 Lorain Road their request for a 25 foot corner lot <br />setback for a dumpster enclosure which was also approved by the Planning <br />Commission April 9, 1991, seconded by E. Gallagher, and tmanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />3. Lorain Auto Body, 24532 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12)e Request 23.34 square foot variance for area of <br />one side of pole sign and 43.6 square foot variance for total sign area. <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06-(F)-4 arid 1163.06(d). <br />1
