Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to Mr. and Mrs. Moyle and Mr. Morton, contractor. Mr. Moyle
explained that in order to build an enclosed patio they need the variance
because their back yard would not be deep enough. Members had no problem with
the request. T. Restifo moved to grant the request of Robert and Marilyn rloyle
at 6052 Forest Ridge Drive, for.an 8 foot rear yard variance, to construct a
patio enclosure, seconded by E. Gallagher, and unanimously approved. Variance
granted.
4. Joseph Sciulli, 24808 Randall Drive.
Request for variance (1123.12). Request 15 foot rear yard variance to
construct patio enclosure. Violation of Ord. 907125, Section 1135.08(a).
Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the Board. Mr. Morton,
contractor, was representing the owner and had been sworn in previously. He
explained this is the same situation, a glass and screen room which will be too
close to the rear property line. The members voiced no objection. T. Gallagher
moved to grant to Joseph Sciulli, 24808 Randall Drive, the request for a 15 foot
rear yard variance to construct patio enclosure, seconded by J. Maloney, and
unanimously approved. Variance granted.
5. The Baker Rhea, 23609 Lorain Road.
Request for variance (1123,12). Request variance to use blank portion of
existing pole sign. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.22.
Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to Mr. Oudeman, sign contractor, and Mr. and Mrs. Wightman, owners,
Mr. Gomersall verified that they wanted to put a non-illtmiinated sign on the
vacant portion of an existing pole sign. He again explained that any variance
granted for a pole sign would be null and void as of January 1, 1998. Mr.
Gomersall stated that this wou3d look better than the sign rema.ining blank. Mr.
Wightman explained that drivers going east could not see their wall sign. J.
Maloney moved to approve the Baker Rhea, 23609 Lorain Road, the request for a
variance to use blank portion of existing pole sign, subject to the limit of
January 1,` 1998 when all pole signs are to be removed according to the new
Planning and Zoning Code of North Olmsted, seconded by T. Restifo, and
unanimously approved. Variance granted.
Mr. Maloney reminded the members that the cut-off date for applications for the
October 2nd meeting will be noon Wednesday, September 18th, 1991.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
o Gomersall, Chairman B.
