C;UYAHOGA COUNTY <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />GOALS FOR THE PROPER DEVELOPMENT OF <br />THE ClTY'S REMAINING VACANT LAND <br />Goal No_ 7: Develop vacant land within the city in accordance with the recommendations found in <br />the city's nevia Master Plan. <br />¦ Have City Planning Commission and City Council adopt Master Plan. <br />. Utilize recommendations found in Master Plan when deciding upon proposed rezonings and site <br />plan approvals _ <br />. Conduct an overall Master Rezoning Study that would rezonF the city in accordance with the <br />city's adopted Master Plan. <br />Goal No. 2: Promote the preservation of w6tlands, floodplains, and environmentally sensitive areas <br />in general. <br />. Encourage the use of cluster development on sites that contain wetlands, floodplains or other <br />environmentally sensitive problems. <br />. Consider developing a wetlands ordinance that would involve the city more directly in the <br />development of sites that contain identified wetlands. <br />GoallVo_ 3: In conjunction with the North Olmsted School District, assess existing vacant lands <br />within the city for their potential as future school, park or recreafional sites. <br />¦ Continue to encourage the involvement of the school board in the development of future master <br />plans. <br />ts/dm/I:noimp.dx <br />7 <br />0
