<br />the spirit of the code and not contrary to the intent of the code has been

<br />Mr. Gareau again advised that the finding should be substantiated on the same

<br />variance would deprive the applicant of a substantial property right, seconded by
<br />W. Purper. Roll call on motion: Gomersall, Purper, Grace, Ferencik, and Maloney,
<br />no. Motion failed to pass. B. Gomersall moved that relative to the relocation of
<br />a prohibited pole sign from 27871-81 Lorain Road to 27932 Lorain Road for the

<br />variance for location of ground sign, and request 50 square foot variance for
<br />total sign area allowed for a business imit. Violations of Ord. 90-125, Section

<br />Proposal continued from meeting of March 4, 1992. A proposed landscape plan for
<br />the existing planting area will be presented at the meetinge
<br />Variance granted for canopy sign and balance of proposal continued from meeting
<br />of April 1, 1992.
<br />Mr. Giesser and Mre Halleen had been sworn in from the previous case. Mr.
<br />Giesser advised that earlier they had asked that the request for the variance to
<br />display vehicles for sale in the 75 foot front setback be withdrawn, but it was
<br />still shown on the agenda. This is no longer an issue. The only item now being
<br />requested is for the ground sign. Mr. Giesser did not believe that they needed a
<br />1 foot setback variance for the sign, if there is one needed they will move the
<br />sign back 1 foot. It was clarified that the drawing showed the sign five foot
<br />from the sidewalk and trie property line is 1 foot inside the sidewalk. Mr.
<br />Giesser stated that the sign would be located so that it would conform. The
<br />members had no problem with this request. Chairman Gomersall advised the members
<br />that he was going to make a riotion which would preclude going through all the
