Mr.. Thomas suggested that she present this to <br />Mr. Conway who could make that determination, but it should not'have to come back <br />to the commission. J. Thomas Moved to approve the alteration of the proposed <br />Kahn's Cuisine restaurant to include the renovation of the parking area; to <br />include a fence that will .buffer the two residences adjacent to the lot to be <br />board on board as indicated on the p1an; and also to eliminate and landbank, with <br />mounding and decorative poles that can be used as chain guard to the access, the <br />following parking spaces along West 230th Street: parking spaces 43, 34, 1 plus <br />the ha.lf of space ad jacent to it, 12 and the ha,lf of space ad jacent to that that <br />are not numbered on the plan; and that Mr. Zergott be consulted and asked to give <br />a preliminary design so that she can go to her landscaper and ha,ve something that <br />will be acceptable to the A.R.B. then Mr. Zergott should approve the-final design <br />to the mounding. That any additional cosmetic changes to the building be first <br />presented to the Building Department prior to being completed. Ms. Huang has <br />agreed not to change the roof or build a canopy and instead has withdrawn that <br />portion of the proposal, seconded by K. 0'Rourke, and unani.mously approved. <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS: <br />View Point Development. <br />Review of changes to site plan which are in substantial agreement to originally <br />approved site plan. Also new request to install fence on property. <br />Withdrawn from meeting of May 11, 1993. Building Commissioner Conway advised that the agenda stated that a fence was to <br />be installed but there was no request for a fence. Mr. Bower, developer, stated <br />that there were a few items they wished to incorporate into their plan, to review <br />an architectural item that was in the original plan, and explain some minor <br />modifications that were made at the platting stage. He submitted a sales <br />brochure, and one that outlines the overall platting of the property. He is now <br />requesting permission to construct an addition to an existing service building <br />and to construct a pump building. He advised tha.t many customers who are <br />interested in the second floor units of the Vista homes were concerned about the <br />security of having outside stairways to the second floor porch, especially <br />because most of these customers prefer the upper unit because of the security of <br />not being on the first floor. He presented elevations of both buildings both with <br />the stairway and without it. Since the building codes do not require a second <br />entrance to a second floor unit, they would like to eliminate the stairway,
