buildings in Olmsted Township. He e.xplained that this building is permitted under <br />a conditional use permit. Sinee the members had previously studied this property <br />and consider.ing the distanee from Coltunbia Road, they had no objection to the <br />proposal. <br />Regarding the Kahn's Cuisine proposal whieh had been withdrawn, Mr. Conway <br />explained that the owner, N1s. Huang, had just been advised that the supplier <br />would finance these renovations. She is now requesting to do the renovations as <br />suggested tq-ith the exceptian of the peak and gable portion which she will <br />complete within 12 months bat she prefers to get input from an architect for that <br />work. The Architectural Board anfl the B.Z.D. Committee have approved the <br />proposal with the stipulation that the dtunpster be enclosed and the fence and <br />mounding be installed unless the Planning Commission has no objection. The <br />members had no objection. - <br />Regarding Nightfall, Mr, Conway has been in contact with an engineer who is <br />working on it. He will give them another month to start the work before turning <br />it over to the Law Department. <br />Mr. Thomas complained about both North Coast Amateur Radio Shop and Pool Town <br />whose windows are covered with signs. Mr. Conway advised that they allowed to <br />have signs in 500 of their window area. He will take appropriate action. <br />A letter was received from Council regarding the presentation of the Ma-ster <br />Plan. This can be discussed at the next meeti.ng when Chairman Gorris is present. <br />VI. COMNIITTEE REPORTS: <br />Report on Cluster Home Developmc?nts. Mr. Skoulis showed the video of the <br />Whitlatch Developments after the meeting was adjourn ed. <br />VII. NEW BLTSINESS : <br />No items. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Regarding the Ice Cream Parlor, Mr. ZYiomxas explained that the owner was asked to <br />make some minor changes and he presented an entirely new plan which eliminated <br />the angled parking, and moved the building to the west. Mr. Deichmann presented a <br />sketch suggested by Mr. Dubelko which flipped the building and would allow the <br />drive to be moved further away from the cross walk on Whitethorn and make that a <br />secondary entrance. There would be suffic-ient parking with four landbanked <br />spaces. The mmbers agreed that this wonld be a better proposal. It was clarified <br />that the Planning Commission can landbank the spaces without a variance, and it <br />is also possible for the Board of Zoning Appeals to grant a variance for parking <br />even if some spaces are land.banked. <br />IX. ADJOURNMEDIT: <br />K. 0'Rourke moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Gorris and Mr. Tallon, seconded <br />by J. Thomas, and lmaninously approved. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 p.m. <br />L.
