Vice-Chairman Maloney called all interested parties before the board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Persinger, owner, and Mr. Stephens, contractor, who <br />explained that they intend to install a ca.raopy which will encroach into the 15 <br />foot setback by about 18 inches on two corners. A variance was also needed for <br />the ground sign which must be in the 35 foot prohibited triangular area. Building <br />Commissioner Conway advised that the Architectural Review Board had asked them to <br />realign the canopy so that it would be perpendicular to the building, their <br />original proposal conformed to the code. The members had no problem with the <br />request. T. Koberna moved to grant Persinger's Sunoco Station, 24584 Lorain Road, <br />their request for an 18 inch variance for encroachment into the 15 foot setback <br />on two corners of a proposed canopy to be constructed over the ptmp islands. Also <br />to grant a variance to install a ground sign within the 35 foot prohibited <br />triangular area, and to note that the existing sign on the light pole must be <br />removed, seconded by W. Mr. Webb explained that they must remove the existing'3 cax ga.rage <br />which is in bad shape and would like to replace it. One door will be 8 by 16 foot <br />and the other 9 by 9 foot. The members had no problem with the request. W. Purper <br />moved to grant the request of J. & S. Webb, 27010 Butternut Ridge Road for a 202 <br />square foot variance to rebuild garage, seconded by J. Maloney, and unanimously <br />approved. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(a). Mr. Bennett explained that the addition will be glass around 3 sides and <br />will extend back about, 14 feet from the house. 1`deither the neighbors or ,the <br />rnembers had any probler,i with the proposal. Purper moved to grant the request <br />of Mr. and Mrs. Art Lerner, 24278 Noreen Drive for a 19 foot rear yard variance <br />to constz-uct an addition and a special permit to add to a non-conforming <br />dwelling, seconded by J.
