Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was
administered to Mr. Heim and Mrs. Gross, the neighbor next door next to the
addition. Mrs. Gross believed that this request will devalue her property and
noted that there is enough roon on the other side of the garage for the addition.
She also thought that this will make her drainage problems worse. The raembers did
not agree that this would cause a drainage problem and that it would not devalue
the property. Mr. Grace and Mr. Gomersall believe that there would be ample room
in the back for an addition. Mre Grace thought that 2 feet would cause a safety
hazard in case of a fire since it would be difficult to get around. Mr. Maloney
believed that the rain will flow down on to the neighbors property and there
would not be enough room to maintain that side. Mr.. Heim believed that this
setback area is wasted space. Mr. Heim asked if he could reduce it to a 2 foot
variance. Neither Mr. Maloney nor 14r. Grace could agree to this since there is so
much property in the rear. J. Nlaloney moved to gran)- Thomas E. Heiri, 24128
Mapleridge Road the request for variance a 3 foot side yard variance to construct
addition to detached garage, seconded by R. Gomersall. Roll call on motion:
Maloney, Gomersall, Grace, and Koberna, no. Motion failed to pass. Variance
clenied.
3`. David and Verna Kokita, 7139 Barton Road.
Request for variance (1123.12).- 12equest 425 square foot variance for area of
accessory building exceeding 2% of rear yard area; also requires a 6 foot height
variance; and a 5 foot rear setback variance. Accessory building to be used for
storage and a game room. Violations of Ord. 90-125, Sections 1135.02(d)-(1), (3),
and (4).
Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was
administered to Mr. Kokita and Mr. Haas, a neighbor who lived south of him, it
was explained to him that the builcling will be on the north east corner. Mr. Haas
has no objection since this is on the other side of his lot. The mer.ibers believed
the building is too big for- the back yard and much too high. It was pointed out
that this would be almost as big as the house next door. iMr. Grace noted that
there was no one present objecting to it, but it was noted that a neighbor
receivi.ng the notice would have no idea how high it would be. Mr. Kokita
explained that the upstairs was to be a game room for his children and it would
be used for storage downstairs. The members noted this was as large as some
houses, but they were more concerned about the height. After some discussion
pertaining to the construction, it was discovered that there would be a deck as
well. Mr. Kokitka agreed to continue this until the next meeting and look into
lowering the structure as much as possible. Mra Sanker advised that 7 foot, 6
inches is the legal height of the ceiling. Continued until next meeting.
4• GTE Mobilnet, 26791 Brookpark Ext.
Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to display inflatable mobile
phone on roof of building.,Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.04(g).
Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was
administered to Ms. Meister representing GTE A7obilnet. The balloon will be 12
feet high. The members had no problem with this but would like a letter submitted
from the owner of the property that he would allow the ballon on his building. R.
Gomersall moved to grant the request to GTE Mobilnet, 26791 Brookpark Ext.
