She explained that there <br />is a third floor vacancy and the sign in the window is not seen. This sign i.s <br />also a 4 by 4 foot temporary sign. The members agreed that it too should be <br />allowed for 6 months. B. Grace rnoved to grant the request for a variance for the <br />Med Center, 25757-25765 Lorain Road for a 1 foot height variance and a 13 foot <br />setback variance from front property line to install real estate sign which will <br />be approximately 4 by 4 foot ground sign for a.6 month period, seconded by R. <br />Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Request variance to install 3 wall <br />signs (one permitted); and request 1 square foot variance for area and 1 <br />foot height variance for 7 directional ground signs. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Miller, sign contractor, who explained that the request is <br />for 3 sets of individual neon letter. Building Commissioner Conway adnised that <br />they only need a 1 square foot variance for the total sign area allowed and a one. <br />foot height variance for the directional signse The members agreed this was a <br />small amount of sign area. It was clarified that one sign would face Brookpark, <br />one would face Chi Chi's and one will face the east. The members had no problem <br />with the request. W. Purper moved to.grant a request for a variance for Society <br />Bank, 26401 Brookpark Road, to install 3 wall signs (one permitted), to grant a 1 <br />square foot variance for area, and a 1 foot height variance for 7 directiona.l <br />ground signs, seconded by T. Request 1 foot 7 inch total side yard variance, <br />and 7 inch variance for distance between dwellings to construct an attached <br />garage on an addition. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.07. <br />Chairman Gomersall called.all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mrs. McGinty who explained that the detached garage will be <br />removed and new garage and addition will be added. The members had no problem <br />with the request. T. Koberna moved to grant Cynthia J. McGinty, 24212 Elm Road, <br />the request for a 1 foot 7 inch total side yard variance and a 7 inch variance <br />for distance between dwellings to construct attached garage on an addition, <br />seconded by B. Request variance to have changeable <br />copy portion on new ground sign. Also request variance to have two logos <br />and advertising on pump island canopy. Violations of Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1163.08 and 1163.12(j). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before tne board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Hunt, representing Speedway, who advised that they are <br />allowed 69 square foot of sign area. Building Commissioner Conway advised that <br />they are installing 67 square feet of signage, and noted that in the past the <br />board has been limiting canopy signage to only a logo or the name. Mr. Hunt <br />3
