present. Mr. Purper believed that they do need a sign on the north side, but <br />questioned if they should get a third sign or if the sign on the south should be <br />moved. Mr. Grace stated that the arguments for the original.variance were ba.sed <br />on the need for a sign on Brookpark. Ms. Ziegler asked that the request be tabled <br />and she will ask the manager to be present at the next meeting. B. Gomersall <br />moved to table the request for Chuck E. Cheese, 26108-22 until the December <br />meeting, seconded by B. Grace, and unanimously approved. Request tabled. <br />3. David Crisler, 4769 Westview Dr. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 13 foot rear yard variance to <br />construct addition. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(a). Also <br />request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling. Special permit <br />required Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02(b)1. Note: Rear yard variance <br />granted 9/17/63. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Crisler. Building Commissioner Conway clarified that the <br />variance that was granted in 1963 was for the original house and he is now just <br />in-filling a corner of the family room. The members had no problem with the <br />request. B. Grace moved to grant L-he request of David Crisler, 4769 Westview Dr., <br />for a 13 foot rear yard variance to construct an addition and a special permit to <br />add to a non-conforming dwelling, seeonded by J. Maloney, and tmanimously <br />approved. Variance and special permit granted. <br />4. Richard Frve. 29580 Vita Lane. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 29 square foot variance for <br />shed which exceeds 2% of rear yard area allowed for a shed. Also request 5 <br />foot rear property line setback variance for location of shed. Violation <br />of Ord. 90-125, Sections 1135.02(d)(1) and (d)(4). <br />Chairman Gomersall called a11 interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Frye, who explained that he is replacing an existing shed on <br />the original slab. J. Maloney moved to grant the request of Richard Frye, 29580 <br />Vita Lane, for a 29 square foot variance for a shed which exceeds the 2% of rear <br />yaxd area allowed for a shed, and also grant a 5 foot rear property line setback <br />variance for location of shEd, seconded by B._ Grace, and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />5. V.P.C.H.(Victory Plaza Real Estate ARencv, 24363 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 1 foot height variance for real <br />estate ground sign and 13 foot variance for location from front property <br />line. Violations of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(g). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all inteLested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Ms. Ho, sign contractor. The oath was then administered to an <br />adjacent property owner, Mr. Kerner, who came forward later. Ms. Ho advised that <br />the sign is 4 by 4 feet and is only needed until the vacancy is filled. Mr. <br />Gomersall suggested that they use the blank space in the permanent sign that is <br />for that unit. Mr. Grace suggested that the variance be granted for a limited <br />time. Ms. Ho stated that the unit has been vacant for over a year. Mr. Kerner <br />would not voice an opinion. Ms. Ho would like the sign for a year, but the <br />members agreed to 6 months and advised that she could return to the board if she <br />needed more time. J. Maloney moved to grant to V.P.C.H. (Victory Plaza Real <br />Estate Agency), 24363 Lorain Road, the request for a 1 foot height variance for <br />real estate ground sign and a 13 foot variance for location from front property <br />line. The ground sign is to be 4 by 4 and is approved for a duration of 6 months, <br />seconded by T. Koberna, and tmanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />2
