stated that the Dryvit band was a matte finish, not glossy, and that nothing would be painted red,
the one red band would be the Dryvit. There is also red on their signs. The sign package was
presented far the original building, but they will need variance and must confact the Building
Department for that. They are questioning two wall signs on the south and west elevations,
hanging window signs and signs on the awniug. It was agreed that the graphics on the awniug
should be eliminated. There is no rendering of the monument sign, but there was one of a pole
sign wluch would be the same sign only it will be mounded on an aluminum base. Mr. Krekus
stated that the monument sign would be made to conform to size requirements, but a variance will
be required for location.. Mr. Conway stated that the code did not allow window signs, and. also
since the building was not very wide, they would need some variances for sign area. The members
agreed that the signs could be approved in concept except for the signs on the awnings. The utility
poles will be left where they are, but the electric service will be underground. B. Zergott moved to
accept the Boston Chicken proposal as presented, accepting the concept of the signs with the
oondition that the signage on the avvuing be dropped, that the awning will not be back lit, but
illiuninated with gooseneck lights. To accept the landscape plan, which may have to be adjusted in
the front of the bu.ilding, and with the suggestion that the dumpster enclosure might have to be re-
aligned with the drive but the board will accept the concept of the enclosure as presented, all
lighting must be shielded and it is suggested the lights in the back of the building be on a timer so
they can be turned off., seconded by T. Gallagher, and unauimously approved.
VI.
