could get an integrally colored block, or they could even get the same effect with other
means, perhaps a block with a different texture, anything that would add interest to a large
expanse of blank wall. They have added the chain across the loading dock as requested by
the Planning Commission. The dumpster enclosure will match the fence. Mr. Ziska advised
that the underside -of the canopy would be perforated aluininum with down lighting
installed. They will submit a specific sign package later for the Board's review. B. Zergott
moved to accept the World of Sleep proposal at 24260 Lorain Road with the conclition
that the developers present a revised landscape design to the city so that Mr. Zergott can
review it prior to the neact Plauuiug Commission meeting; that they present different
possibilities for an architectural treatment on the east and west elevations so Mr. Yager can
review them along with the changes suggested for the peak on the mansard roof? seconded
by M. Yager, and u.nanimously approved. The developers will fax the building revisions to
Mr. Yager for his review.
IV. OLD BUSINESS: (heard at this point)
Build.ing Commissioner Conway advised that he had a minor change proposal for the Wal-
Mart building and presented a sample of the original brick that was approved for Wal-Mart
and a sample of a new brick which they believe would blend in better with the Corporate
Center materials. Mr. Zergott would like to see the color of the accent band that was to be
used because that was to blend into the whole building. W. Sohn, who was present when
this was approved is not present and has, resigned from the board. Mr. Yager was not
familiar with the original proposal, but stated he believed that the brick was too ordinary.
Mr. Corsi, a Biskind Development Company representative who owns the land, arrived at
this time. Mr. Zergott stated that that it might blend better with the Corporate Center, but
he preferred the darker brick and would like to see how it all blended in with the other
colors. Mr. Conway advised that he did not have a rendering of the building with this
brick, but he did have samples of the other material in his office. Mr. Corsi explained that
they had considered all the colors on the building and the surrounding buildings and
originally they had not approved the materials as had been requ.ired by their agreement. He
explained the location to Mr. Yager and advised that the adjacent restaurant was a darker
brick with the white Dryvit above, but the Radission had a Dryvit system that was similar
to -the other buildings in the area. Since Mr. Conway had the other material samples in his
office, the members decided to check those after the meeting was adjourned.
VI. ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
B. Zergott, Chairinan B. Oring, Clerk of Commissi
3
