,
Chairman Gomersall ca.lled ail interested parties before the board. The oath was
admiriistered to Mr. Pusti, architect, who advised that at Planning Conmission's
request they reduced the front sign, and would like to place a second 1 foot, 6
inch by 11 foot wall sign on the side of the building. He explained that since
the building is at an angle to Lorain Road, drivers would be past the drive
before they eould see the monunent sign. Mr. Gomersall noted that previously, the
neighbors had been concerned because they cannot see getting out of the street.
Mr. Pusti advised that they have moved the ground sign back.out of the prohibited
35 foot prohibited triangular area. Building Comnissioner Conway advised that the
developers had also agreed to mount a piece of plywood at:the siM location, so
the inspectors ca.n check the visibility before the sign is installed. The members
had no problem with the request. R. Gomersall moved to grant the request to Rollo
Pollo Restaurant, 25730 Lorain Road for a 4 inch variance for height of front
wall sign, and also a variance for a. second wall sign on the east side of the.
building which is to be 1 foot, 6 inches by ll feet, seconded by J. Maloney, and
unanimously approved. Variances granted.
Election of officers:
J. Maloney moved to nominate Mr. Robert Gomersall for chairman for the year 1994,
seconded by W. Purper. The nominations.were closed. Mr. Gomersall was elected
chairman unanimously.
R. Gomersall moved to nominate Mr. John Maloney as vice chairriari, seconded by W.
Purper. The nominations were closed. Mr. PZaloney was elected vice chairman
unanimously.
Mr. Gomersall would like to change the March maeting on Wednesday, March 3 to
Wednesday, rlarch 9th. The members had no problem.
The members decided that the meetings which have to be changed should be done at
this time. Due to the primary election, the meeting in Ma,y must be changed from
Wednesday, May 4th, to Thursday, May 5th. Also due to conflicts in August, the
meeting will be changed from Wednesday, August 3rd, to Thursday, August 4th.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
R.
B. Oring,
5
