? <br />proposing 79.5 square feet of signage, below what is allowed. It was verified <br />that if the agreement does not materialize, the developers must return for a <br />variance for the side buffer. J. rfaloney moved to grant the request of Wendy's <br />Restaurant, 26650 Lorain Road, for a 17 foot variance for a landscape buffer on <br />east side yard, a 13 foot variance for a landscape buffer in front setback; and <br />an 8 foot variance.for rear yard buffer. The developers will attempt to negotiate <br />a joint development agreement with the neighbor to eliminate the west side buffer <br />and, if that is not possible, they can return for the side yard variance. Also, <br />to grant the variance for two additional wall signs (one allowed); and to grant 3 <br />foot variance for location of pylon sign from front property line, seconded by T. <br />Koberna, and unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />5. Cheri Cleveland;.5125 Columbia Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request vaxiance to construct solid, 6 foot <br />fence in front setback. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(f). <br />Chairrnan Gomersall called a1l.interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Cheri Cleveland. Mr. Maloney noted that a portion of the fence <br />has been installed. Since the fence would be next to I-480, there were no <br />objections. T. Koberna moved to grant tha request of Cheri Cleveland at 5125 <br />Columbia Road, for a variance to construct a solid, 6 foot fence in front <br />setback, seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />6. Wal-N1art Stores Inc, Property located on Brookpark Road, east of the Westbury <br />Apartments and west of Colebrook and Clareshire Condominiums. <br />No representative present. Mr. Papandreas, who was representing the seller of <br />the property, asked if the proposal could be held to the end of the meeting. <br />7. Ronald and Karen Grabinski, 4266 Coe Ave. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 10 foot rear yard variance to construct <br />enclosed porch and deck to rear of dwelling. Violation of Ord. 90-I25, Section <br />1135.08(a). <br />Chairman Gomersall called a11 interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Grabinski and J. Sekowski, the builder. The members <br />had no objection to the request. J. Maloney moved to grant to Ronald and Karen <br />Grabinski, 4266 Coe Avenue, their request for a 10 foot rear yard variance to <br />construct an enclosed porch and deck to rear of dwelling, seconded by T. Koberna, <br />and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />g. Clifford and Deborah Thompson, 5849 Porter Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 556 square foot area to install pool <br />which will exceed the permitted 20% coverage of the rear yard area. Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d)(2). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested,parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Clifford and Deborah Thompson, 5849 Porter Road., Mr. Gomersall <br />and Mr. Maloney agreed that tYiis is a rather large pool. Mr. Thompson stated that <br />the pool company had advised that there would be no problem installing this pool <br />in their yard. Mrs. Thompson noted that none of the neighbors had objected and <br />there were other large pools on the street. Ms. Boyle noted that there are other <br />large pools on small lots. No neighbors were present. Mr. Maloney suggested a 15 <br />foot pool. Mr. Thompson advised tha.t the pool would be fenced, there would be <br />renovable steps and adult supervision. He clarified that it would only be a 4 <br />foot deep. T. Koberna moved to grant the request of Clifford and Deborah <br />Thompson, 5849 Porter Road, for a 556 square foot variance to install a pool <br />which exceeds the permitted 20% coverage of the rear yard area, seconded by M. <br />Boyle, and imanimously approve. Variance granted.
