6. Dennis P. Mack, 5512 Wlutehaven Rd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 210 square foot variance to construct addition to <br />existing detached garage. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (c) (1). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was aciministered to <br />Mr. Mack. Mr. Gomersall commented that between him and his neighbor there would be nothing <br />but cemeut in the back. Mr. Mack explained that there would be a red brick driveway around the <br />side of the existing garage. There were no neighbors present. Mr. Maloney believed that this was <br />too much garage. Mr. Mack explained that he had a classic car and would like to add one or two <br />more. He cannot add to the back of the garage because the grade drops down, that is why he is <br />adding it to the side. R. Gomersall moved to grant to Dennis P. Mack, 5512 Whitehaven Road, <br />the request for a 210 square foot variance to construct addition to existing detached garage, <br />seconded by T. Koberna, and unavimously approved. Variance granted. <br />7. Leslie A. Brazina, 24146 Elm Rd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 22 foot variance to rebuild aud add to existing non- <br />conforming porch. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.06 (a). Also request special permit to <br />add to a non-conforming dwelling. Specialpermit required. Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.01 (b)(1). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to <br />Ms. Brazina. The members agreed that this would improve the property. J. Maloney moved to <br />grant to Leslie A. Brazuia, 24146 Elm Road, a 22 foot front setback variance to add to existing <br />non-conforming porch. Also to grant a special permit to add to a non-conforming dwelling, <br />seconded by R. Gomersall, and u.navunously approved. Variance and special permit granted. <br />Ralph 8c Marilvn Peffer, 24600 Mitchell Dr. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 24 foot rear yard variance to constrict patio enclosure. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (a). Also request special permit to add to non- <br />conforming dwelling. Special permission required Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.01 (b) (1). <br />Chairmau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was admiuistered to <br />Mrs. Peffer who advised that the patio would go where the new cemeut was. The members had <br />no problem with the request. R. C'somersall moved to grant to Ralph and Marilyn Peffer, 24600 <br />Mitchell Drive, a 24 foot rear yard variance to construct a patio enclosure, and a special permit <br />add to a non-conforming dwelling, seconded by J. Malouey aud unanimously approved. Variance <br />and special permit granted. <br />9. James & Christine Martynowski, 5542 Porter Rd. <br />Request for variauce (1123.12). Request for special permit to add second floor to existing non- <br />conforming (front setback) 1 1/2 story dwelling. Special permission required Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1165.02 (b) (1). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to <br />Mr. and Mrs. Martynowski who presented a revised plan showing a fireplace on the west side. He <br />estimated that it would be the same as the overhang that is there now and there is 8.5 feet from <br />lus house to the property line. Building Commissioner Conway explained that the fire place had to <br />be 15 feet away from the neighbor's home. Mr. Martynowski stated that the neighbor's driveway <br />3
