<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MIlVUT'ES - OCTOBER 5, 1994 <br />CORRECTED <br />Chairman Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m <br />Present: M. Boyle, T. Koberna, J. Maloney, W. Purper, J. Maloney, and R. Gomersall. <br />Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Building Commissioner Conway, and Clerk of <br />Commissions Oring. <br />W. Puiper moved to accept the minutes of September 7, 1994 as written, seconded by <br />T. Koberna, and unaniinously approved. <br />Chairinan Gomersall advised all present that each of the board members had viewed the <br />premises involved in each case, and that three affirmative votes would be required for <br />approval. Each case would be judged on the physical situation peculiar to itsel? so that <br />in no way is a judgment rendered considered to be a general policy judgment affecting <br />properties and li.ke situations elsewhere.. <br />1. Tibor Y. Varga, 40 48 Clague Road. <br />Request special permit to add to non conforming dwelling (three houses on lot is in <br />violation of Section 1135.01(a) and proposal.to add covered side porch will enlarge <br />non-conforming house). Special permission required Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties befor.e the board. The oath was <br />adininistered to Mr. and Mrs. Varga. The members had no problem with the request. <br />W. Purper moved to grant the request of Tibor Y. Varga, 4048 Clague Road for a <br />special permit to add to a non-conforming dwelling (3 houses on lot is in violation of <br />Section 1 i35.01(a) and proposal to add covered side porch will enlarge non- <br />conforming house). Special permission required Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02. The <br />motion was seconded by J. Malonev and unanimously approved. Special permit <br />granted. <br />2. Kirby Service Center & Linder & Assoc. 4800 Grt. Northern(former Society Bank). <br />Request for varianee (1123.12). Request variance to have second wall sign on building <br />for the Kirby Conapany and request variance to have second wall sign on building for <br />Linder and Associates. Violation of Ord.: 90425, Section 1163.12(a). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />acUninistered to Mr. Beaver, sign contraetor, who explained that theie would be a 2 <br />foot by 7,foot illuminated sign on, the north elevation and non-illuminated plastic <br />letters on the west elevation. The members had no,objection to the request. J. Maloney <br />moved to grant Kirby Service and Linder and Associates, 4800 Great Northern their <br />request for a variance to have a second wall sign on building for the Kirby Company <br />and their request to have a second wall sign for Linder and Associates. Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(a). The motion was seconded by T. Koberna, and <br />u.nanimously approved. Variances granted.
