Mauning moved that the Laurie's Dance Studio (formerly the <br />Doll House), 30036 Lorain Road, the proposal to construct addition to the rear of the existing building, <br />which was heard by the board of zoning appeals July 6, 1995 and by architectural review board Ju1y 19, <br />1995 be sent on the B.Z.D. with the following secommendation that they look at an altemate color since <br />right.now it has been left as a Safety Red, the existing color. The commission recommends that they <br />choose from Conductor (blue), Off Shore (blue), or Rain Forest (green) and to note that the owner <br />preferred the Dewpoint. Also that the revision to the landscaping and the placement of the light posts and <br />fencing on the west side be accepted and that the building material list be included as presented, except <br />for the color which should still be decided. The lighting must be shielded and must remain on the <br />premises, as described with 180 degree shielding it should have that effect. The motion was seconded by <br />T. Brennau, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Fortney and Weygandt, Inc., permanent parcel numbers 233-06-015 aud 011, property located on the <br />south side of Bradley Road, south west of Wild Oak Drive. <br />Proposal to construct 2 story office building. <br />Heard by arclutectural review board July 19, 1995. <br />Mr. Fortney, owner, presented the plaus and introduced Mr. Weygandt, the architect. He stated that they <br />have made all the changes required by the architectural review board. Building Commissioner Conway <br />advised that the exterior brick system must be reviewed with the construction drawings. The revised <br />drawings were given to the members. Mr. Weygandt explained the lighting plan: there will be two <br />shielded lights on the back of the building and three bollards in the front. The dumpster enclosure will be <br />stained to match the building. T`he forester had suggested that certain trees be saved, but some are in the <br />area where the retention system is to be installed. He will leave whatever trees he can. Mr. Manning <br />explained that the commission would like to have the building lights directed down. Mr. Weygandt stated <br />that if the wall lights in back do not light the parking lot sufficiently,, he will request additional lights when <br />he returns for approval of the warehouse. He clarified that Space Age design is on one side and a home is <br />on the other; they will install a row of evergreen aloug that property line. He stated that this was a very <br />deep lot with the C.E.I. easement on the rear and vacant property beyond that. W. Fortney advised if the <br />Building Department did not approve the thin brick system, he would put in a standard brick. Mr_ Zergott <br />of tlie arclutectural review board had approved the plans with soine suggestions. Mr_ Fortney stated that <br />they would do whatever Mr. Zergott suggested and he would work with the forester. It was decided that <br />the dumpster enclosure would be board on board on a steel frame. A. Mauning moved that Fortney and <br />Weygandt, Inc., permanent parcel numbers 233-06-015 and 011, property located on the south side of <br />Bradley Road, south west of Wild Oak Drive, the proposal to construct a 2 story office building having <br />already been heard by architectural review board July 19, 1995, be sent onto B.Z.D. with the following <br />recommendations: that the board on board dumpster enclosure with a board on board door, stained to <br />match the building be accepted as proposed; that the landscaping revisions as mapped out be accepted <br />and that the developer had stated that they would be open to the landscapers preference on land'scaping <br />ou "L" and that the tree identified as "F" on the east side can be changed; that they will contact the <br />forester even though he submitted a letter on Ju1y 18th regarding the removal of some of the trees on the <br />west side of the property, he may not have been informed of exactly what they have been doing and they <br />will work him as far as what trees can be saved; that the lighting in the back of the building, the wall <br />2 <br />r"?
