Mrs. Pangrac explained that, even with cable, they
cannot get channel 19 because the Oliio Bell station is too close to them. Mr. Gordon advised that,
because of the trees, it would be almost impossible to get reception if it were in back, and they could
not install it on the sun room, because of its extruded aluuiinum construction. Building Commissioner
Conway advised that this type of pole installation had been allowed previously. P. It was noted that there had been a lot of rain in the past few days. Mr. Simmons
clarified for Mr. Engoglia, that the yard was swaled into the drain in the back and a sump pump would
pump the water to the drainage ditch in front. He explained that Engineering Department did not specify
the type of pump, but they would do a flow test after it was installed. Mr. Engoglia was concerned
about what would happen if there were a power failure. Mr. Simmons stated that this would only effect
the back yard, not the basement, since there would be down spouts to drain the basement separately.
Mr. Scott stated that these lots are all low and there was standing water earlier in the week, and he
believed that what was shown would improve the situation. He was mainly concemed that with the
change in topography, and that his vacant lot next door might be flooded. 1VIr. Engoglia stated that this
swale might help his water problem. Mr. Scott agreed that if it were sloped toward the center of the lot
it would take it away from his property. Mr. Scott was advised that the swale would be on the side, and
Mr. Simmons stated that the swale would be entirely on his properiy. It was noted that the grade and
drainage would have to be approved by the Engineering Department. P.
