Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The -oath was acimiuistered to R.
Schwartz, sign contractor, who explained that this sign will replace one that was destroyed in a storm
about four months ago. He clarified that the new sign will be smaller, and will be 6 foot, 10 inches high
and 9 foot wide. The members had no problem with the request. T. Koberna moved to grant the request
of Westbury apartments/Consolidated Mgt., 25151 Brookpark Road, for a variance to have a second
identification ground sign, for a 9 square foot variance for area of sign; and a 1 foot, 10 inch variance for
height of sign. Tlie oath was adinivistered to Mr.
Harris, attorney, Mr. Ricchetti, axchitect, and Dr. Rozakis, whose offices. are next door. Mr. Harris
presented revised drawings showing 3 circular pods on which to display cars. The sign has also been
relocated so that it will not be in the prohibited 35 foot triangle. Mr. Ricchetti explained that Ganley
preferred to have the circular pods so that cars can be placed on the pods in different positions. The pods
will be 16 feet in diameter. Mr. Harris explained the plans to Dr. Rozakis privately. Mr. Maloney
stipulated that only one vehicle should be displayed per pad. Dr. Rozakis wanted a verification that there
would be a 10 foot landscape bu.ffer beside his property. This is required by code, and they are not asking
for a variance for that. He was advised that the landscaping would be reviewed by the architectural review
board on December 20, 1995. J. Maloney moved to grant to Ganley Westside Imports, 25600 Lorain
Road, a variance to display three used cars in front setback with the stipulation that the round pods are to
be 16 foot in diameter with only one vehicle to be displayed per pod and the pods are to have a 20 foot
landscape buffer in front of the them.
