<br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The -oath was acimiuistered to R. <br />Schwartz, sign contractor, who explained that this sign will replace one that was destroyed in a storm <br />about four months ago. He clarified that the new sign will be smaller, and will be 6 foot, 10 inches high <br />and 9 foot wide. The members had no problem with the request. T. Koberna moved to grant the request <br />of Westbury apartments/Consolidated Mgt., 25151 Brookpark Road, for a variance to have a second <br />identification ground sign, for a 9 square foot variance for area of sign; and a 1 foot, 10 inch variance for <br />height of sign. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.07(d). The motion was seconded by J. Maloney, <br />and unauimously approved. Variances granted. <br />4. Ganley Westside Imnorts, 25600 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variauce (1123.12). Request variance to display used cars in front setback. Tlie oath was adinivistered to Mr. <br />Harris, attorney, Mr. Ricchetti, axchitect, and Dr. Rozakis, whose offices. are next door. Mr. Harris <br />presented revised drawings showing 3 circular pods on which to display cars. The sign has also been <br />relocated so that it will not be in the prohibited 35 foot triangle. Mr. Ricchetti explained that Ganley <br />preferred to have the circular pods so that cars can be placed on the pods in different positions. The pods <br />will be 16 feet in diameter. Mr. Harris explained the plans to Dr. Rozakis privately. Mr. Maloney <br />stipulated that only one vehicle should be displayed per pad. Dr. Rozakis wanted a verification that there <br />would be a 10 foot landscape bu.ffer beside his property. This is required by code, and they are not asking <br />for a variance for that. He was advised that the landscaping would be reviewed by the architectural review <br />board on December 20, 1995. J. Maloney moved to grant to Ganley Westside Imports, 25600 Lorain <br />Road, a variance to display three used cars in front setback with the stipulation that the round pods are to <br />be 16 foot in diameter with only one vehicle to be displayed per pod and the pods are to have a 20 foot <br />landscape buffer in front of the them. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1139.07. The motion was <br />seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. ' <br />5 Charles Haettich, 6160 Barton Road. Request for variance (1123.12). Request 64 square foot variance for shed which exceeds the maximum <br />200 square foot allowed. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d-1). Note: if considered an <br />addition to the garage, shed plus existing garage would exceed allowable garage area by 218 square feet. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Haettich, who explained that the shed will be on the side of his detached garage. The members had no <br />problem with the request. W. Purper moved to grant the request of Charles Haettich, 6160 Barton Road, <br />for a 64 square foot variance for a shed which exceeds the maximum 200 square foot allowed. Violation <br />of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d-1). The motion was seconded by T. Koberna, and unanimously <br />approved. Variance granted. <br />6. Ethan Allen, 26125-27 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 95.5 square foot variance for excess signage for a business use; <br />request variance for second wall sign (Brookpark Road); request 4 foot height variance for one wall sign; <br />request variance to have wall signs over the 75 square foot area allowed; and request 9 square foot <br />variance for four awning signs for a total of 36 square feet.
