<br />90-125, Section 1135.07(a). Also request special permit to add to non-conformiug dwelling (side <br />yards). Special peimit required Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02(b)(1). <br />-Chairmau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mrs. <br />Huth and Mr. Carpenter, contractor. Mr. Gomersall explained that they were planning to construct a <br />second floor to a house which is non-conforming. Mr. Carpenter clarified that there would be a 6 foot <br />overhang over the porch on the rear. T. Koberna moved to grant the variance for G. & C. Huth, <br />23565 Alexander Road for a 2.2 foot side yard variance on the east side and a 3.2 foot side yard <br />variance on the west side to construct a porch and upstairs dormer on the rear of the house. Violation <br />of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.07(a). Also to grant a special permit to add to a non-conforming <br />dwelling (side yards). Special permit required Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02(b)(1). The motion was <br />seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance and special permit granted. <br />8. Biskind Rea1tX, (Technologyy Park I and II including HaWton Inn? 25111-25249 Countrv Club. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance for location of ground sign (A) in prohibited <br />triangular area. Request variance to install a second ground sign (B), a variance for its location in the <br />prohibited triangular area and a 3 foot height variance. Request 3 foot 6 inch height variance for <br />directional sign (C) and a variance to install directional sign in the prohibited triangular area. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sections 1163.12(B), 1163.12(E) and 1163.12(B). Please note: these are <br />replacement si us. <br />' Chairinan Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was admiuistered to J. <br />Becker, sign contractor, and Ms. Schulz, representing the owner. Mr. Gomersall verified that the <br />• signs would be in the same location and would be no larger than what was existing now, only the <br />appearance was being changed. The members had no problem with the request. J. Maloney moved to <br />grant the request of Biskind Realty (Technology Park I and II, including Hampton Inn), 25111-25249 <br />Country Club Boulevard, for a variance for location of ground sign (A) in prohibited triangular area. <br />To grant a variance to install a second ground sign (B), a variance for its location in the prohibited <br />triangular area and a 3 foot height variance. Also to graut a 3 foot, 6 inch height variance for <br />direction sign (C) and a variance to install direction sign in the prohibited triangular area. Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(B), 1163.12(E), and 1163.12(B). These are replacement signs. The <br />motion was seconded by W. Purper, and unaniinously approved. Variances granted. . <br />9. Sunnvside Mazda, 26980 Lorain Rd. • <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to have second wall sign on building. Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(a). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. Building Commissioner Conway <br />clarified for the members that one of the car companies would not sign off on the total renovation <br />package for this development until they had one sign on the wall. He preferred not to have the sign <br />company come to the board with one request, then come back two months later with a total package, <br />so he asked him to show what was to be proposed later. The oath was administered to R. Kalina, sign <br />contractor, who eacplained that the existing Mazda building is now a Mazda/Toyota store since Saturn <br />took over the old Toyota dealership. Tonight they are asking to move the Mazda sign over from the <br />• center of the building to the east side of the front elevation, and to install the Toyota sign from the <br />old building on the west side since both show rooms are in the one building. No variance would be <br />needed if there was a wall between the two showrooms. Later they .will be replacing the two pole <br />signs with two grouud signs. Mr. Conway stated that this would still need a variance for two ground <br />5
