Mr. Dragon stated that they intended to change the pole sign into a <br />monument sign, and later decided to use the lower sign, so he questioned why it needed a 2 foot,6 <br />inch variance; it was determined that this request was for a the other ground sign shown on the <br />plan. This change would also reduce the total sign area by 20 square foot. Mr. Dragon advised that <br />the manager had believed that they needed the main sign over the new entrance which now faces <br />the shopping ceuter (east)and the one facing Brookpark Road, but since the grouud sign is ou the <br />north, they could eliminate the 58 square foot wall sign on the north elevation_ It was determined <br />that tlus would reduce the total variance for excess sign area to 9 square feet and a 17.5 square <br />foot variauce for excess sigu area for a business building. The members agreed that tlus was an <br />improvement. Mr. Conway clarified that the directional signs could not have a name ou them, they <br />only state in or out. R.
