Request 3.5 foot variance for depth of lot to construct dwelling. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.05(a)((3). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was adlninistered to Ms. <br />Scebbi who explained that she is subdividing the rear portion of her lot and combuung it with the rear <br />portiou of her neighbor's lot, in order to construct a new dwelling. It was clarified that the variauce was <br />actually for the depth of the lot which will be 131.5 feet instead of 135 feet as required. Building <br />Commissioner Conway asked if she were sure a house could fit within the dimensions shown. Ms. Scebbi <br />stated that tlus would leave her 31.5 foot for the deptli of the house, and she would prefer to build at <br />least a 32 foot house. The members agreed to grant a 1 foot rear yard variance. R. Gomersall inoved to <br />grant the request of Beth Scebbi, Delmere Drive (just west of 3588 Clague Road), for a 3.5 foot variance <br />for depth of lot and a 1 foot modified rear yard variance. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sections <br />1135.05(a)(3) and 1135.08(a). The motion was seconded by J. Maloney, and unauimously approved. <br />Variances granted. <br />10. Bill Jordan, 5262 Dewey Drive. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 2 foot side yard variance and 5 foot rear yard variance to <br />replace existing detached garage. Violatiou of Ord. 90-125, Sectiou 1135.02(c)(2). <br />Chainnan Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was adiniuistered to Mr. <br />Jordau and his mother. Mr. Jordan stated that he was plauning to use the existing foundation for the new <br />garage. Building Commissioner Conway explained that the foundation would have to be expanded suice <br />the existing garage is 14 by 20 feet and the new one will be 24 by 24 feet. Mr. Conway would like an <br />inspector to determine if the foundation is usable after the old garage is removed. Mr. Jordan agreed. <br />The members had no problem with the request. T. Koberna moved to grant the request of Bill Jordan, <br />5262 Dewey Drive, for a 2 foot side yard variance and 5 foot rear yard variance to replace existuig <br />detached garage. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(c)(2). The motion was seconded by R. <br />Gomersall, and uuanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />Regarding the inotions, Building Commissioner Couway talked to Law Director Gareau and it was <br />decided that instead of reading the entire request when a proposal was being granted as requested, all the <br />inembers had to state was to grant the request as written. <br />In response to NIr. Maloney's coinplaints about the vaiious temporary signs iu gas stations, etc., N1r. <br />Conway advised that after he lures another inspector he inteuds to begin enforcing the sigu ordinauces <br />more strictly, but at present he does not have the manpower. <br />The meeting was adjoWned at 8:55 p.m. <br />R.°Gomersall, Chau7nan B.
