Tallon moved to refer the High Tech Pools proposal, Sublot 11, <br />North Olmsted Industrial Park, to construct office/warehouse facility to the architectural review board <br />with the recommendation that a drawing of the sign must be submitted to that board. The commission <br />will accept the proposal as presented with the stipulations that the handicapped spaces be relocated to <br />the middle of the building and one to the side; and with the inclusion of all the recommendations of the <br />architectural review board. Also a drainage and retention plan must be submitted to the Engineering <br />Department. The motion was seconded by T. Brennan, and unanimously approved. Mrs. O'Rourke <br />wondered why they choose red for a pool company, when blue or green would be more appropriate. <br />3) Fortney,Weygandt, 31269 Bradley Road <br />Proposal to put storage shed on rear of property. Proposal to construct building was approved by <br />planning commission July 27, 1995. Rejected as a minor change by the bzd committee of council. <br />Mr. Allen, represented Fortney Weygandt, presented the plans and explained that the 40 by 60 foot <br />storage building would be located at the rear of the site. This had been shown on the preliminary <br />drawing when the office building was approved and it had been suggested that approval might be given <br />as a minor change. He clarified that the property in front of the shed would be green area and the <br />proposed driveway will be extended from the parking lot to the shed. There might be motion sensor <br />wall-pak lights above the overhead door, for morning and evening deliveries. Mr. Tallon stated that, if <br />lighting is installed, it should be down lighting and shielded from the neighbors. Mr. Allen explained that <br />they had not decided on a color for the metal siding and were considering earth tones, but would be <br />open to suggestions. The existing building is a reddish brown brick with dark bronze aluminum window <br />frames and siding on the rear wall. The members believed that the storage building should match the <br />office building. No neighbors were present. R. Tallon moved to approve the proposal to put a storage <br />shed on rear of property for Fortney Weygaudt, 31269 Bradley Road, with the stipulation that if any <br />lighting is installed on the building they must be a wall washing type, down-light, that is shielded to the <br />neighbors and that the exterior is to match the existing building. The motion was seconded by A. <br />Manving, and unanimously approved. <br />4) BP Oil Company, 29131 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal to construct gas station (eausting station and adjacent mini-mart will be demolished). <br />Heard by board of zoning appeals January 31, 1996. - <br />Referral to architectural review board is required. Continued by developer until March meeting. <br />Mr. Taylor, who represented BP Oil, had presented a landscape plan before the meeting. The variances <br />had been granted as recommended by planuing commission. The members had no problem with the <br />proposal and no neighbors were present. R. Tallon moved to accept the BP Oil Company proposal, <br />29131 Lorain Road, to construct a gas station (existing station and adjacent mini-mart will be <br />demolished). This proposal will be referred to the architectural review board and the motion to approve <br />will include any recommendation made by that board. The motion was seconded by T. Brennan, and <br />unanimously approved., <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SLTBDIVISIONS: <br />1) McGlaughlin-Smith Consolidation Plat. <br />The proposal, as requested by plauning commission, is to combine pei7nanent parcel Numbers 234-20- <br />17 with 234-20-18 and 19 (previously combined as Simmons Subdivision Number 2) into one (1) <br />parcel, which is the site of the proposed O.S.V. Productions Building at Christman Drive and Lorain <br />3
