newspaper articles before the meeting, regarding problems with this builder and the eugiueering
company. She had also submitted a list of concerns, most of which have been discussed. However, she
asked what was being proposed for sanitary sewers, and noted that Mr. Whitlatch had proposed
replacing 270 feet of 8 inch sanitary sewer with 30 inch pipe as a sanitary sewer retention at the corner
of Clague aud Sharon to solve the problem. Mr. VVhitlatch had also told her that they were haviug
problems because the sanitary line on Sharon Drive did not have enough fall to carry it to Clague Road.
Mr. Sheehe advised that the sanitary sewer would be directed toward W. 231 Street, not through the
existing sewers. They have provided a relief valve so that if it does start to back up, it will flow to the
existing sanitary sewer on W. 231 st. City Engineer Deichmaun advised that the plan was satisfactory.
She is also concerned about the fill that is planned because of the problems that were reported in the
newspaper, and hoped that the problems in Parma would not be repeated in North Olmsted. R. Tallon
moved to approve the Bridgeport Development Plat and Improvement Plans, the proposal, as originally
submitted by Wlutlatch & Co. and approved by North Olmsted Planning Conunission and Council, for
the two (2) abutting subdivisions now combined, is for fifty five (55) residential sublots, and one (1)
pond area, all from originally platted parcels 231-14-1, 2, 3, 4, and 231-11-43. Location is north of
Lorain Road between Clague Road and West 231 Street. Zoning is "C" Residence, Single, entirely, with
the inclusion that this proposal will include all the landscaping and fencing shown on the original
Whitlatch proposal, along with all the original agreements made by Whitlatch; that the fence should be
relocated to the top of the swale, if at all possible, aud 15 foot buffer should be maintained around the
basin. The motion was seconded by T. Brennan. During the framing of the motion, it was clarified that
since the retention basin was enlarged the tree buffer might be slightly less than the original plan. Mr.
Block stated that he would try to keep as many existing trees as possible. Mr. Deichuiaun stated that the
trees taken out for Rice ditch were just in the area where they were working, and 15 feet was not an
unreasonable amount to maintain. Mr. Wibourne asked about cleanup and dust during the construction,
especially because he has a below ground pool. He was advised that the city did have some regulations
regarding the coustruction and he should contact them.
V. COMMUNICATIONS:
No items.
VI.
