T7iere is a two foot sign baud ntn»ing across the building, wluch is located iu
Olmsted Plaza. Mr. Liggett would like to see them use the same style for the entire sign band. Mr.
Yager stated a wlule back, they had agreed to coordinate the Entenmanns roof to match one of the
surrounding buildings, and he noted that neither buildiug matches. Mr. McKee felt all the buildings
coordinate with green, but Kinko's, wluch is blue. Mr. Yager explained that Norwest Financial is on
a raceway (20' 10" X 25" or 15"), United Wireless is a box illuiniuated sign (36" X 96"), and Futon
Factory is white back lit channel letters (16' X 1.5'). He uoted none of the signs coordinate. NSr.
Yager questioned whether or not as inanager of tlus plaza they have developed some kind of
coordinated signage program. Mr. McKee explained, Marshall Brown and Jeffrey Glazier own the
shopping center, and felt as long as the signs are acceptable to the city and fall within the guidelines
of the signage allowance they will allow auy sigus. Mr. Yager reiterated the sign package does not
coordinate with the building, and tlus is something they are attempting to prevent from occurring.
He would like Mr. McKee to submit a inore coordinated sign package wluch may include a uuiform
style, color, and size of each sigu on the building. He noted that not all the sigus fall within the sigu
fascia. He reiterated that this board would like to get
the siguage to match, or at least resemble one auother. Mr. Yager recommended, under the lease
conditions, they include the coordiuatiou of these signs. He clarified that decision is up to the owner
and tlus board is here to be sure whatever is presented is in the best interests of the city aud works
well enough in itself to be acceptable. The members suggested they use a consistent sigu theme, and
if possible the same color. Mr. Liggett asked that the logo in the Norwest Financial sign be included
