<br />Conway clarified that they technically could start construction of the building before the signs are <br />approved, but the sigus must be approved prior to installation. <br />III. Note: Awniing is NOT Illuininated. <br />No represeutative present thus Building Commissioner Conway explained Red Wing Shoes would <br />like to constiuct a red avvning which must also go before board of zoning appeals for size and <br />dimension. It was clarified Red Wing Shoes is located in Columbia Plaza and currently there is a <br />browu mansard roof. Mr. Liggett noted that there are ouly two major tenants in that building and if <br />an awming is installed on 18 or 20 feet over one uuit in the building it will stand out. Mr. Yager <br />explained that the signs in tlus plaza do not coordinate and by installing tlus awviug they are <br />worsening the conditions by protruding and not coordinating. Mr. Liggett stated if tlus board would <br />even consider tlus proposal they would need to bring in a scheme towards the whole facade <br />addressuig the awning aud completing the building. <br />Mr. Yager motioned to reject the awning outright and requested a coord'uiated sigu package be <br />presented 'ui the future.
