If there are any objections, the proposal will have to be heard, at a public hearing, next month.
Mr. Gomersall noted that the arclutectural review board had discussed it and did not like the logo ou the
sigu. Mr. Gomersall noted that he wanted to double lus garage space. W. ICaufinann advised that
he intended to put his classic cars in the back and the cars they drove everyday in the front section. The
back wall would remain and there will be a garage door on the side. In response to questions, Assistant
Building Commissioner Rymarczyk advised that he should have a hard surface driveway to that door. Mr.
Kaufmann stated that he could take the back wall down, and just drive the cars through from the front.
T. Kobema moved to grant the request of Eric Kaufinann, 3863 Root Road, for a 308 square foot area
variance for garage exceeding the 750 square foot limit with the addition that this will be a tandem garage
and there will be no opening on the side. At this point Law Director Gareau questioned the stipulation
that there be no opening on the side since there was nothing in the code that restricted people from
driving over grass. He thought that the variance should be granted as written. T. ICoberna moved to grant
the request of Eric Kaufmaun, 3863 Root Road, for a 308 square foot area variance for garage exceeding
the 750 square foot limit.
