Mr. Gomersall stated that <br />even the arclutectural review board recoininended approval. <br />R. Gomersall moved to approve the request for The Blind Factory, 4725 Great Northem Blvd. for a 20.7 <br />square foot variance for total area of signage and a 4.3 foot variance for length of sign which is less than <br />three feet from either party wall. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sections 1163.04 (a) and 1163.11 (b). The <br />motion was seconded by J. Maloney, and unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />9. La-Z-Boy, 25410 Loraiu Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request a 6 foot variance for access driveway width. Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1161.10 <br />Any signage will be reviewed by the architectural review board at a future date and forwarded to board <br />of zouing appeals, lf llOll-COllf01711ll1g. <br />Chairmau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Stitz, architect, and Mr. Shepherd, representing La-Z-Boy. Mr. Stitz stated that they met with the city <br />tragic engineer who agreed to the width of the drive. The Root Road entrance will remain. They have <br />advised the neighbors that the rear parking area and drive will be landbauked and landscaped. After <br />seeing these plans the neighbors who were present earlier this evening left the meeting. He pointed out <br />where the fire hydrants were and advised that the Fire Department preferred to use the Root Road <br />entrance and hydrant. It would be quite expensive to iustall a private hydraut. The m.embers had no <br />problem with the proposal. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant the request of La-Z-Boy Furniture, 25410 Lorain Road for a 6 foot variance <br />for access driveway width. Violatiou of Ord. 90-125, Section 1161.10. The motion was seconded by <br />T. Kobema, and unavimously approved. Variance granted. <br />10. St Clarence 30106 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request a temporary 35 foot variance to locate the construction trailer <br />40 foot from the right of way. t/iolation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1139.07. <br />The contractor had asked that this request be deleted since the trailer has been moved to a conforming <br />location. <br />11. Terrance Brennan 24193 Mastic Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request a five foot variance for the distance between the existing home <br />and the proposed detached garage. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (c-2). Note: Drawings <br />indicate 5/8 type "x" on all walls and ceiling. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was admiuistered to Mr. <br />Brennan who explained that the existing garage is in poor shape and he wants to rebuild it closer to the <br />house. Mr. Gomersall noted that the existing garage is right on the bank of the valley. The plans show <br />that the entire inside will be dry-walled. <br />T. Koberna moved to grant the request of Terrance Brennan, 24193 Mastic Road for a five foot variance <br />for the distance between the existing home and the proposed detached garage. Violation of Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1135.02 (c-2). The motion was seconded by J. Maloney, and unaniinously approved. Variance <br />granted. <br />5
