? CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ARCHITECTURAL REVEEW BOARD NIIN[JTES - FEBRUARY 19, 1997 CORRECTED 1. ROLL CALL: Acting Chairmau Yager called the meeting to order at 5:40 P.M. Present: T. Gallagher, S. Krieger, T. Liggett, and M. Yager. Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and Assistant Clerk of Commissions Cornish. II. REVEEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: T. Gallagher motioned to approve the minutes of January 22, 1997 as presented; seconded by M. Yager and unauimously approved. III. SIGNS: No items N. OLD BUSINESS: The architectural review board members discussed the hammerhead proposal from Shore West Construction "briefly. Mr. Gallagher explained Mr. Zergott had some concems about this proposaL He noted any revisions to the landscape plan should be submitted; the subject of the safety department's concerns should be in writing; and the revisions should be addressed from the neighbors perspective. Building Commissioner Conway explained, although there was a request to put a hammerhead in, the plan may still be revised: He believed they have come up with a solution that may work. Originally there was a tear drop cu1 de-sac with a grass island in the center, allowing room to landscape. Mr. Conway continued, the fire department believed if the cul-de-sac is 60 foot in diameter and the grass island is removed the proposal will be acceptable. He noted that, if it is done in this manner, it will be sent through as a minor change. The members requested to be advised of the outcome. V. NEW BUSINESS: 1) Radisson Hotel, 25070 Country Club Blvd. Proposal to construct addition to existing hoteL Amendment to Corporate Center preliminary land use plan approved by planning commission December 10, 1996 and approved by Council December 17, 1996. Referred by planning commission January 28, 1997. Heard by board of zoning appeals February 13, 1997. Mr. Scott, architect and Mr. Childs, contractor presented the proposaL Mr. Scott explained the plan to expand on the existing Radisson Hotel and referenced the book titled "Addition and Renovation to The Radisson HoteL" The addition area will be used for various rooms, a ball room, and a kitchen expansion, a loading dock and expansion of the front lobby area.
