Mr. Potz agreed to consider this possible alternative layout and believed a rowlock could also be used which would improve the appearance even more. Mr. Yager believed this would add a little bit of life to the facade. It was clarified the recommendation is to include a little Flemish action every fifth or sixth course, as the darker brick will give acceut to the soldier course on the top and the rowlock idea was also acceptable to the board. Mrs. Kopko presented photometrics of the fixtures. It was noted the poles will be 12 feet high. Mrs. Krieger believed, this height combined with the 250 watt bulbs, would create hot spots. Mrs. Kopko believed 12 foot was the maxrimum height permitted. Mr. Potz would like to retain the wattage but had no objections to raising the height of the poles. Mr. Zergott advised planning commission recommended the 12 foot height. The members recommended that the lights reflect towards the building more to disperse the light, keeping it off the properiy lines and reducing the hot spots. T. Gallagher motioned to approve the proposal of Metro Park Builders Office Retail Build.ing, 24345 Lorain Road (formerly VFW and Aquarium properties), with the following recommendations: the belden brick and shingle changes are to be accepted as submitted; approve the trim colors as specified; the entrance is to be moved over along with one window so that the entrance is centered; the soldier course and the rowlock are to be used as recommended and approved; landscaping plan is accepted; signage is accepted; dumpster is fine; and the type of lwninaire should be verified in order to prevent hot spots.
