Mr. Rymarczyk believed the landscaping was reviewed <br />along with the building proposaL It was noted the landscaping has not been reviewed with the sign <br />package. The board members agreed Mr. Zergott should have the opportwuty to review the <br />landscaping with the sign package. M. Yager moved to approve the drawings as submitted with the <br />following conditions: two building signs are to be installed on either side of the tower which <br />conform to the city's requirements for size; the ground sign is approved as submitted colored to <br />match the metal roofing; and the directional signs are to be eliminated in their entirety. The motion <br />was seconded by T. Liggett and u.nauimously approved. Motion carried. <br />2) La-Z-Bov Furniture, 25450 Lorain Road <br />Sign package for build.ing proposal reviewed by architectural review board September 18, 1996. <br />Mr. Stitz, architect, presented the proposal. It was noted the sign has been reduced to 157 square <br />feet. This sign is the standard sign used throughout the country. It was noted the height of the "L" <br />is approximately 2 foot, 4 inches. The members had no problem with this proposal. B. Zergott <br />moved to accept the proposal as presented, seconded by M. Yager and unanimously approved. <br />Motion carried. <br />3) Orthodox Society ofAmerica, 29510 Lorain Road ' <br />Sign package for bu.ilding proposal reviewed by architectural review board September 18, 1996. <br />Mr. Lichvaric, property owner and Mr. Jarvis, sign contractor presented the proposal. It was noted <br />the proposal includes one ground sign and one wall sign. The members had no problem with the <br />proposaL B. Zergott moved to accept the sign proposal as presented, seconded by M. Yager and <br />unanimously approved. Motion carried. <br />4) National Tire & Batterv. 25801 Lorain Road <br />Sign presentation of logo. <br />Mr. Rau, sign contractor, presented the proposaL The members had no problem with this logo. M. <br />Yager moved to accept the sign proposal as presented, seconded by B. Zergott and unanimously <br />approved. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Zergott suggested that someone on the board can be assigned to signs, so that these can be <br />reviewed independently by a member of the board. He clarified such signs would not be. reviewed at <br />an architectural review board meeting unless there were major objections raised by the member <br />assigned to review them Mr. Zergott believed this proposed independent review should be subject <br />to building commissioner approvaL The members agreed time can be saved ifthese independent <br />reviews are done. Mr. Zergott believed the sign reviews should be done by the architects on the <br />board. The members agreed Mr. Yager and Mr. Liggett will review such signs alternating every <br />month. <br />5) Soccer Sportsplex. 31315 Lorain Road <br />Sign package for building proposal reviewed by architectural review board Apri117, 1996. <br />Mr. Oxon, sign contractor, presented the proposaL The request included non-illuminated letters on <br />the front of the building and a ground sign.
