Mr. Montemagno stated that what they show
would be acceptable if they moved the shrubs closer to the building it would be acceptable, he is not
asking that they cut the shed down or put up a six foot fence. Mr. Friederick agreed that he would put
stones three feet arou.nd the shed with bushes around the shed. Mr. Gomersall stated that would be
fine, but that was not what the plan showed. Neighbors and Mrs. Friedrich tallcing at one time, not
audible. Mrs. Frederick stated that she did not want to bug anyone. Mr. Gomersall asked them to
clarify the plan. Mr. Friedrich stated that the bushes would be 3 feet from the shed and 3 or 4 on each
side. Mr. Maloney stated that the bushes would need to be about 4 or 5 feet apart. Building
Commissioner Conway questioned if the were to be arborvitae. It was decided that there should be
four shrubs which will grow to at least 3 feet and 3 feet offthe shed. The neighbors agreed.
R. The oath was ad.miuistered to Mr.
Hixon, sigu contractor. Mr. Gomersall reviewed the request and stated that tlus was a peculiar
situatiou, since there was a driveway and very little room on either side. Mr. Gomersall is concerned
that it might lunder the view of people coming out of the shopping center. Mr. Hiacon responded that,
after he drew the plan, the owner would rather have it set 12 foot back. Members agreed. Building
Commissioner Conway advised that the 13 square foot variance was just for the ground sign, not the
building sign. Tlie members agreed that this sign should be exempted from Section 1163.26.
J.
