The oath was administered to Ms.
Kopco, architect, who preseuted a renderiug of the sigu with a gable look wluch had been preferred by
the arclutectural review board because it coordinated with the building. They need a variance for the
extra two names, because of the way the building sits on the site. She presented a reudering of the
building showiug that two of the uuits will uot be in the line of site from people driving on Lorain
Road. The one teuant will not sigu a lease until the variance is granted so their name can be on the
sigu. T'he members had uo problem with the request.
W. Cranford, fence contractor. At tlus poiut Mr. (iomersall called for any interested neighbors. He
aclmiuistered the oath to Mr. F. Krause, a ueighbor across Columbia Road and explained that Ms.
Gorgone would be iustalling 64 foot of 6 foot lugh, board on board wood fence from the back comer
of the house and 10 foot gate and 110 foot of 4 foot high chain link fence iuuning down Cary Lane,
then going across the back 75 feet of the lot and retuiuing to the wood fence. The fence will be set
back at the coTner of the house which is at least 10 foot from the sidewalk. The chain link fence will
be open without slats and the board on board fence would be a 5 and 3/4 by 3/4 inch treated lumber.
It was explained that a variance was ueeded because the house is on a corner lot and should be set
back 50 feet so the fence would end up in the middle of the house. Build.ing Commissioner Conway
explained that they could have installed a 30 inch fence, so they will need au 18 inch variance for the
chain liuk fence. Mr. Gorgone explained that she needed the 10 foot gate for access to the rear yard.
There was no further discussion.
T.
