The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Stitz, architect, who explained that the build.ing was set back 75 feet and also had a large side yard on <br />Root Road, but the entrance was on Lorain. They are not asking for a sign on the side. He presented a <br />picture of the signs at an existing facility. Mr. Koberna was concemed that the ground sign might block <br />visibility. Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk advised that the location sign conformed to the <br />ordinance. Mr. Stitz explained that there would be plantings around the ground sign. <br />T. Koberna moved to grant the requests for La Z Boy Furniture, 25450 Lorain Road, for a 1 foot, 2 <br />inch height variance for ground sign; a 2 foot height variance for wall sign; and an 82 square foot <br />variance for total sign area for wall signs. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sections 1163.12 and 1163.12(a) <br />with the notation that this sign be exempted from Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.26 conceming the <br />amortizing of non-conforming signs, seconded by W. Purper, and unanimously approved. Variances <br />granted. <br />4. R& K. Busse, 6225 Winding Creek Lane <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request an 8 foot rear setback variance to construct covered porch. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08. <br />Vice-Chairman Maloney called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Busse who explained that they were going to put a floor over the existing patio and enclose it. The <br />members had no problem with the request. <br />W. Purper moved to grant the request of R& K. Busse, 6225 Winding Creek Lane for an 8 foot rear <br />setback variance to construct. covered porch. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08.
