Ma , Kleis, 4595 Canterbury Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request a 1.5 square foot total side yard vaxiance to construct an addition. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.07 (a). Chairman Gomersall noted that this print was extremely bad, as were several others. This is a very small variance and the members had no problem with the request.. <br />W. Manor Care Nursing Home, 23225 Lorain Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request special permit to add to a non-conforming building. <br />Special permit requ.ired Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02. <br />Note: Existing building is 60 feet from right of way, 75 foot is requ.ired by code. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to M. <br />Terwilicker and J. Behrend, representing Manor Care, J. Burk, engineer, and neighbor R. Bartko <br />speaking for the residents. Mr. Gomersall noted that the board had received some letters from - <br />residents, expressing concerns about water, noise and lighting access roads. Chairman Gomersall <br />advised that if this request is approved, the proposal must return to planning commission. The Fire <br />Department will require two additional fire hydrants; requ.ired that small parking area must be <br />provided on the south side of the main entrance for private ambulances; there should be no vehicle <br />parking in front of the main entrance; and sufficient access and iurning radius for fire apparatus <br />must be provided per ordinance. Mr. Burk advised that they have discussed these issues with the <br />Fire Department and these requests have been incorporated in the plans. Mr. Burk presented <br />revised plans which include the revisions mentioned above; a water line has been eartended along the <br />building in order to add the two fire hydrants; the parking area for ambulances is shown; and <br />additional parking, as requested by planning commussion, is included. He maintained that these plans <br />will provide some drainage in the rear yards of the adjacent properties to relieve the neighbors <br />water problems since the water will drain into their retention.
