Request 16 foot rear yard variance to construct an addition. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(a). <br />Chairinan Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was admiuistered to Ms. <br />Chesar, and B. Clough, contractor. A neighbor, Mr. Richards was sworn in separately. He saw <br />nothing objectionable about the request, and believed that any improvement just raised the property <br />values in the neighborhood. The members agreed. <br />T. Kobema moved to grant the request of Pam Chesar, 28469 Holly Drive for a 16 foot rear yard <br />variance to construct au addition. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(a). The was seconded <br />by J. Maloney, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />4. St. Clarence Catholic Church, 30106 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request variance to have a temporary sign for a 30 day period or until the permanent sign can be <br />installed. Request variance to have additional verbiage listing services on ground sign. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(g) and 1163.03(a)(1)(c). <br />NOTE: GROUND SIGN IS NON-CONFOIZMING AND MUST BE REMOVED BY 1/1/98 <br />UNLESS EXEMPTED FROM SECTION 1163.26. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was adiniuistered to Mr. <br />Malik, architect, who explained that, even though the perinauent sign probably will be ready sooner, <br />they have asked for the temporary sign for 30 days in case of inclement weather. Also regarding the <br />permanent sign, both Father Flynn and the owner of the book store, believe that the word "gift" <br />should be on the sign to explain that they are more than just a bookstore. The architectural review <br />board had agreed that it would be necessary. The sign will match the sign on the front. The members <br />had no objection. There was a letter from the Metro Parks, Law Director Gareau explained that there <br />was a restrictive deed covenant for the rear 200 feet from the Metro Parks which abuts to the rear. <br />This provides that only residential buildings can be built in the rear 200 feet. This sign would be about <br />500 feet from this. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant the request of St. Clarence Catholic Church, 30106 Lorain Road for a <br />variance to have a temporary sign for a 30 day period or until the perinanent sign can be installed. <br />Also to grant a variance to have additional verbiage listing services on ground sign. Violation of Ord. <br />90-125, Section 1163.12(g) and 1163.03(a)(1)(c). With the notation that this sign be exempted from <br />Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.26 concerning the amortizing of non-conforming signs. The motion was <br />seconded by P. Miller, and unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />5. Steve & Karen Malinoski. 6058 Fitch Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 296 square foot variance to construct a detached garage (an <br />attached garage is existing). Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(c)3. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />and Mrs. Malinoski. The members had no problem with the request. J. Maloney moved to grant the request of Steve and Karen Malinoski, 6058 Fitch Road for a 296 <br />square foot variance to construct a detached garage (an attached garage is existing).
