Request variance to have two temporary non-illuminated, mobile, <br />changeable copy signs from November 28 through December 6, 1997. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(g). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to <br />Mrs. Costello, owner. The members noted that they asked for this every year. The members have no <br />problem with the request. <br />W. Purper moved to grant the request of Hobby's Etc., 23345 Lorain Road, for a variauce to have <br />two temporary non-illu.minated, mobile, changeable copy signs from November 28 through <br />December 6, 1997. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(g). The motion was seconded by T. <br />Koberna, and unauunously approved. Variance granted. <br />7. Jeffrey RMolds 5441 Burns Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request a 3 foot side yard variance to construct a detached garage. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135:02 (c-2). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mrs. <br />Reynolds. It was clarified that they share a drive with the adjacent neighbors and their the garage <br />would be 2 foot from the property line in order to save the elm trees. The two garages will be in line <br />with one another and there would be about 3 feet between them. Mr. Maloney was concerned about <br />containing the water on their own property. Mrs. Reynolds advised that there would be down spouts <br />and gutters. Mr. Maloney asked the Building Department to make sure the drainage was correct. <br />Another neighbor had written that he had no objection as long as there was enough room between the <br />two garages to maintain the property. <br />W. Purper moved to grant the request of Jeflrey Reynolds, 5401 Burns Road, for a 3 foot side yard <br />variance to construct a detached garage. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (o-2). The <br />motion was seconded by T. Kobema, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />Ali Hamdan, 23521 Stonevbrook Dr. <br />Request special permit to add to a non-conforming dwelling. Special permit requ.ired Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1165.02b(2). ALso request 20 foot rear yard variance to construct addition (existing screened <br />in patio will be replaced) Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(a). <br />Chairman Gomersall-called all interested parties before the board. The -oath was administered to Mr. <br />Hamdan, Mr. Waldren; contractor, and neighbors Mrs. Newman and Mrs. Urban. Mr. Gomersall <br />explained tliat the dwelling was non-conforming beeause the rear yard was not 50 feet as required. <br />Mr. Hamden and Mr. Waldren.explained that the addition would be in the same location as the <br />existing patio but it would be 2 foot deeper. The screened in porch will be removed and an enclosed <br />room added. It was clarified that there would be footers, etc. it would be only one story, and that it <br />would be sided to match the house. The neighbors viewed the plans and it was explained that the <br />addition would be 30 feet from the rear properiy line. The neighbors believed that it looked better <br />than what was existing. <br />3
