CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES. - JANUARY 22, 1986 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case and S. Ebin <br />Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of December 18, 1985 as presented, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />1) Lube Stop, _ Inc. - Self Service Maxi Wash, 25522 Lorain Rd. <br />Ground Sign and 2 wa11 signs <br />(Heard by the Architectural Board of Review August 21, 1985 - Pole <br />sign approved but will not be installed). <br />Mr. LaGanke, the owner' P.Xnlai.ried th.a,t since he was advised that an <br />ordinance had been introduced which might eventually eliminate <br />all pole signs in North Olmsted, they are changing their plans to <br />a ground sign and two building signs. Ground sign will be brown <br />anodized aluminium with lexan faces (wiring will be underground), <br />building signs will be brown molded plastic letters (non-illuminated). <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the building signs and the ground sign as <br />submitted, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1) William Given Warehouse, 30984 Bradley Rd. <br />Proposal to construct warehouse in Limited Industrial Area. <br />Revised Plans - Originally heard by Architectural Board of Review <br />August 18, 1982). <br />Mr. Given explained that he was changing his original proposal to <br />a pole barn style building with verticle metal siding in brown. <br />Size will remain the same. Al1 trim and doors will be the color <br />of the siding; no windows are planned; building will not be heated; <br />and roof will be dark brown Hallmark fiberglass shingles. Mr. <br />Givens home is in the front of the property and, since the ground <br />slopes down, building will not be very noticeable from the street. <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the plans as submitted, seconded by M. <br />Case, and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Rini's Supermarked (George Draeger), 23000 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to add walk in cooler at rear of building and review of <br />plans to expand supermarket into adjacent drug store. <br />(Heard by Planning Commission January 14, 1986)
