Request 402 sq. ft. variance for garage area. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-L. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board.- The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Herman who explained that the existing garage will be <br />demolished. It was pointed out that even though the property is used resi- <br />dentially it is in the General Retail District, and it is surrounded by <br />General Retail and Multifamily. Law Director Gareau stated that the impact <br />on the neighborhood would not be great. Mr. Herman i's not going to conduct a <br />business on the site, but he does repair his own cars; and agreed to install <br />standard size garage. doors. This is only to be a one story garage. C. Remmel <br />moved to grant the 402 square foot variance-providing that_the doors are <br />single doors, 8-foot by 7 foot; seconded by E: Graves9 and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted, <br />6. Tuuri, 23380 Marion Ave. <br />Request for variance (1133.13).- Request-21 side-yard variance for garage. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33e Section 1151.04C. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before tHe Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Tuuri who stated he had a written statement from his neigh- <br />bo"r that he had no objection to location. Present garage is also 3' from- <br />the p.roperty line and there is enough room for maintenance. He plans to in- <br />stall two 10' wide doors of a standard height. R. Bugala moved to grant the <br />2' side yard variance for Alan R. Tuuri, 23380 Marion, seconded by E. Graves, <br />and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />7. Theodore and Susan Peffer, 24698 Randall Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for fence on corner lot (not <br />90% open). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-H. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Peffer. Fence would be a 4" picket with 12;' space <br />in between. Mrs. Peffer believes that a chain link fence could be dangerous <br />for children and pointed out that there would be a 100` distance between the <br />end of the fence and the intersection. E. Graves moved to grant the request <br />for a variance for a fence on the corner lot located at 24698 Randall Dr., <br />not 90% open, seconded by R. Bugala. Roll call on motion: Graves, Bugala, <br />Helon, and Remmel, No. Mr. Gomersall, yes. Motion failed to pass. Variance <br />denied. Mrs. Peffer would like to put fence 14' from side walk, adjacent to <br />the neighbors buildi:ng line, instead of adj acent to their building line, to <br />keep the two fences in line. She must check with the Building Department. <br />8.
