BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS JUNE 4, 1986 PAGE 6
Mr. Graves questioned that status of the illegal barn at 5803 Stearns Road
and was advised by Building Commissioner Spino that it was in court. He aiso
questioned if anything could be done about a house in disrepair with an
inoperable car parked in front on a lot located between Zergot's Landscaping
and Donfs Bar. This is the proposed site of Marianne's Bridle Shop and the
house is to be torn down. The Building Department will check on the car.
He also advised that there is an abandoned van in the parking lot of the
Stearns and Lorain parking lot, this should be a police matter.
At this point Mr. Remmel re-called the first case:
1. Robert & Carolyn Kasler, 3946 Shelley Dr.
Request for variance (1133.13). Request 1' height variance for fence.
Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04 (H).
No representative present. The appellant had advised -b?r:a--°Kmmel- that he
did not plan to attend the meeting. C. Remmel moved to grant the variance,
seconded by E. Graves. Roll call on motion: Remmel, Graves, Bugala, Helon,
and Gomersall, No. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied.
Mr. Bugala questioned if iron work above Tony Roma's restaurant was being
built to contain a sign. Building Commissioner Spino advised that if this
is part of the structure of the wall, a sign could be installed on it.
Mr. Remmel asked the Building Department to check if a building permit was
issued for a 6' fence north of 5988 Columbia Rd. (corner of Columbia Road and
Butternut Ridge).
The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
C..-Remmel, Chai
B. Oring, Rg)cording Secretary
