<br />NORTH OLMSTED LANDMARKS COMMITTEE <br />Meeting of February 20th, 1986: <br />PRESENT: Chairperson Sharon Fleming, Betty Lord, Michael Patton, <br />Bob Parry, Gloria Sell, Lois Van Auken. <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:15. <br />CORRESPONDENCES: <br />A letter was received from James G. Gifford, President of the Olmsted <br />Historical Society, Frostville Museum. The letter was addressed to <br />Betty Lord and expressed thanks for the NOLC's support in.Olmsted's <br />eff-rts to preserve the John Carpenter House. <br />Westlife sent NOLC.some black and white photos of areas in North Olmsted <br />taken in the past. <br />James L. Russell sent NOLC a xerox copy of his 1951 article "The Olmsted <br />Story". He included a note stating that NOLC had permission to reprint <br />the article about history if the writer (Russell) was acknowledged. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />The minutes were approved from the January 16th, 1986 meeting. Bob <br />made the motio.n to approve and Betty seconded. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Three of the NOLC written letters to homeowners of historical houses <br />requesting any interesting historical information were returned unopened. <br />Gloria suggested rpsending the letters and addressing them in care of <br />"Homeowner" only sp that they would be received and answered. <br />The upcoming meeting of February 24th, 1986 at 8:00 was discussed. Plans <br />for the presentation, slides and description of Historical Districting <br />Proposal was reviewed. Bob Parry will provide overheads of maps for the
