NEW BUSINESS: Since six plaques still exist and could be distributed by NOLC,
Sharon discussed some possible choices. For instance, the Lang's Barn or homes
on Mastic, Columbia or Porter. Bob suggested that NOLC start with the oldest and
most historic homes and that NOLC could use the auditor's list for dates.
Sharon also discussed the Thompson Ho.use Deed and some new information that
shows it is older than previously recorded.
John Cimperman would like to resign from the NOLC and be an advisor instead
due to his very busy schedule.
Lois Van Auken would like some information to be gathered concerning the
condition of the Town Hall roof and about whether or not it needs to be replaced
in the near future. Since CDBG Funds will be very scarce Sharon said that she would
inquire about what funds are needed or if any roof repair is needed so that the
NOLC can plan for future expenses.
Lois and Betty took a Bible School group of 5th and 6th graders from John
Knox Presbyterian Church to the Archives at Old Town Hall and discussed some of
N.0 's'history with the children.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15.
Chairperson - Sharon Flemming Secretary - Martha Patton
