Bierman, B, Gorris, T. Morgan, E. Traczyk, and J. Burns
Absent: J. Brown and J. Wixted
Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, City Engineer J. Schaller,
Building Commissioner S. Spino, Councilman R. Tallon and
Recording Secretary B. Oring.
II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES:
T. Morgan moved to approve the Minutes of February 11, 1986 as presented,
seconded by R. Bierman, and unanimously approved. III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REOUESTS:

1) Laurel's Family Restaurant, 23642 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to install walk-in cooler at side of building
- Heard by the Architectural Board of Review February 19, 1986
As requested at the last meeting, Engineer Schaller showed the Iocation
of the zone line separating the Residential Area from the General Retail
Area. The proposed cooler actually abuts commercial property on the
westerZy side, however, the zone line does separate the property further
down the property line. Assistant Law Director Dubelko advised that
the existing facility does meet code which requires 5` sideyards adja-
cent to residential property and 15' between buildings. The SaietS=
Department has no objections to the proposal. The Architectural Board
had required that the fencing be returned at least 5' on the western
propoerty line and that the mechanical equipment on the roof of the
existing building be screened, and that this screening must be returned
to them for approval. T. Morgan moved to approve the proposal to in-
stall a walk-in cooler at the side of the building at Laurel's Family
iZestaurant with the recommendations as proposed bv the Architectural
Review Board, seconded by E. Traczyk, and unanimous-ly approved.
2) Expresso, west of Rad-Air (24260 Lorain Rd.)
Proposal to build kiosk for drive-thru doughnut and coffee shop.
Nir. Fazio, architect, presented plans to build a 12' by 18' kiosk on
the Ra.d Air property. Th.is is strictly a drive-thru operation; no bak-
ing is to be done on the premises; and one employee will man the shop at
a time. For the present business will be open from about 5:30 a.m.
until noon. A menu board and one sign on top of the building is planned.
Commission questioned if inenu board is considered in the total signage
permitted. The Building Commissioner will check into sign area allotted
taking into consideration both businesses on the property. Mr. Burns
