FLANNING COMMISSION MARCH 25, 1986 PAGE 2 <br />cordance with the code; 2) that the gravel road leading to the proposed <br />warehouse be-paved in accordancd with.the code; 3) that the property meet <br />the retention requirements proposed by the Engineering Department; 4) <br />that the project be reviewed by the Fire Department prior to the permit <br />being issued relative to combustible materials that will be stored to <br />see if there is, in fact, any undue safety hazard posed by the materials <br />to be stored in the building; and 5) the proposal also be referred to <br />the Safety Department, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Expresso, west of Rad-Air (24260 Lorain Rd) <br />Proposal to build kiosk for drive-thru doughnut and coffee shop. <br />(Heard by Architectural Board of Review March 19, 1986). <br />No representative present, proposal delayed until later in meeting. <br />3) Retail Building, 23900 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct retail building (second phase of Adon Equipment Co. <br />proposal) (Heard by the Architectural Board of Review March 19, 1986). <br />The Architectural Board of Review had approved as presented, The Safety <br />Department had no objection to proposal. The Commission had no problem <br />with the overhead wiring as discussed with the Architectural Board of <br />Review. J. Brown moved to approve proposal which is the second phase of <br />the Adon Equipment Co., that property located at'23900 Lorain Rd., as pre- <br />sented, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />4) The Doll House, 30036 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to use existing house for retail building and review of site plan, <br />(Heard by the Architectural Board of Review on March 19, 1986.) <br />Commission studied forester's report which will be included in permanent <br />file. In answer to the Safety Department's concerns, Mr. Urry, the owner, <br />advised that 4 parking spaces will be marked and that hedges and land- <br />scaping will not obstruct visibility. B. Gorris moved to approve the <br />Doll House, 30036 Lorain Rd., as submitted with the understanding that <br />the recommendations of the new tree planting by the forester and the <br />recommendations of the Safety Department will be incorporated in the <br />plans, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />5) Olmsted Manor Nursing Home, 27500 Mill Rd. <br />Proposal to construct additions to front and rear of nursing home. <br />(Heard by Architectural Board of Review on March 19, 1986). <br />Safety Department report stated no objection to new traffic pattern, they <br />did note, however, that no handicapped spaces are shown. Mr. Draeger, <br />the architect, advised that some parking is designated as handicapped. <br />Mrs. Lonter, the owner, advised the Building Commissioner that there <br />would be 21 employees on each of three shifts. In reference to the Ar- <br />chitectural Board's request that sight line drawings of inechanical - <br />units and color of canopy be resubmitted to them, Mr. Morgan questioned <br />what procedures would be if the proposal had previously been approved by <br />the Planning Commission and the Council; and then these items were <br />subsequently disapproved by the Architectural Board.
