In response to a property owner's questions <br />Mr. Andreano, the engineer, explained that the new culvertwould be <br />two to three times larger than the existing one; that water from <br />the subdivision would be discharged downstream from the new culvert <br />and retention is planned on the property. City Engineer Schaller <br />also advised her that the dam on the Springvale property could remain, <br />and that he was not aware of any problems caused by that dam. She was <br />also advisedthat perhaps some of her flooding problems could be les- <br />sened, but the flooding problems are basically caused from the property <br />to the west of her property. J. Wixted moved to approve the proposal <br />to install storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water lines, pavement and <br />sidewalks throughout the Pebblebrook Subdivision and also approve <br />the partial improvement of the existing Canterbury roadway and the <br />replacement of the existing culvert as shown in the plans and to give <br />final approval for the plat, the 59 lots, fronting on Pebblebrook Lane <br />and Sandpiper Lane, seconded by E. Traczyk, and unanimously approved. <br />At this point Mr. Yesberger asked to address the Commission and advised <br />that in his conversations with the developers, he has requested a small <br />portion of one of these lots on the south west corner of the subdi- <br />vision in order to re-arrange the tee. He believes that he need$ a <br />sturdy fence of at least 6 to 8 feet high. He also needs a small piece <br />of land on the north west corner of the property which abuts into the <br />golf course. He advised that he will be moving and replanting some <br />trees and will have to plant some new ones. He stated that the devel- <br />opers seem to be agreeable to his requests, but at this point he has <br />nothing in writing. The Commission suggested that Mr. Yesberger <br />discuss his concerns with the BZD Committee or• Council when proposal <br />is presented to them. <br />V e COMMiTNICATIONS : <br />Memo from the Mayor asking that the Commission consider having signs <br />placed in front of new structures advising who is moving into the <br />building. Commission believes that there are enough signs in North <br />Olmsted already. <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Mr. Gorris asked Mr. Dubelko to give the Commission a synopsis of the <br />decision pertaining to the Commission`s liability. Mr. Dubelko will <br />provide this at the next meeting. <br />Mr. Burns presented two proposed changes to the Planning Commission's <br />By-laws. The Commission will study and vote on these at the next <br />meeting. He also presented a Charter Amendment for the members to <br />study. The Law Department will also review this_ <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />In reference to the Milton's North Coast Bistro plans, Mr. Bierman <br />would Iike all plans to be accurate and complete, and questioned if <br />there should be some change in the Ordinance or if this could just be <br />a policy of the Building Commissioner.
