BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS NOVEMBER 11, 1985 PAGE 3
8. Richard A. Cook, 4220 Dover Center Rd.
Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front set back
over 70'). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02.
Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath
was administered to Mr. Cook. Board has no problem with proposal. R.
Bugala moved to grant the special permit for R. Cook, seconded by C. Remmel,
and unanimously approved. Special permit granted.
9. William T. Berry, 5590 Columbia Rd.
Request for variance (1133.10). Request 92. sq. ft. variance for tool shed.
Also request 4'9" height variance. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-D.
Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath
was administered to Mr. Berry, who explained that he started construction
without a permit because he had been told by neighbors that he did not need
one. Shed is not supported properly. Shed is actually the size of a garage
and construction could be altered to conform to garage codes. Building Com-
missioner Gundy advised that he would need a concret pad, garage door, and
a driveway. Mr. Berry agreed to alter building to a garage, but he did not
want a driveway. C. Remmel moved to deny the variance as requested and at
the further request of Mr. Berry we permit the conversion of the tool shed
to a small garage, meeting the building code requirements and with a variance
for the omission of a driveway, the start of this conversion shall take
place within 60 days of this date, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously
approved. Variance granted.
R. Bugala moved to excuse the absence of J. Helon and E. Graves, seconded
by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
C. Remmel, Chairman B. Oring, cording Secretary
