CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - JULY 10, 1985 <br />Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, R.Gomersall, J. Helon, and C. Remmel. <br />Absent: E. Graves. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring. <br />R. Bugala moved to accept the minutes of June 12, 1985 as prepared, <br />seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. <br />R. Bugala moved to approve the minutes of the special meeting held on <br />June 24, 1985 as prepared, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. <br />1. Shore West construction Co., S/L 129 - 5940 Wild Oak Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 15.5' rear yard variance. Viola- <br />tion of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. <br />Chairman Remmel called interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Hevelon, neighbors, Mr. Harnes, the prospec- <br />tive owner, and C. Bower of Sliore West. Mr. Bower requested to amend the <br />request to reverse the house on the lot (garage will be on the opposite <br />side; this change was requested by the Hevelons so that garage would be <br />facing their patio. Mr. Harnes is in agreement. The Hevelons have no <br />objection to the variance which would not change. Mr. Harnes was advised <br />that he would not be able to cover his patio without another variance, and <br />this Board would not be in favor of one. R. Bugala moved to grant the 15'5" <br />rear yard variance for sublot 129 as requested with the understanding that <br />the building will be reversed and the garage will be on the south side of <br />the property, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. Variance <br />granted. <br />2. Shore West Construction, Sublot 127 Wild Oak Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request location variance for house on <br />corner lot (one set back over 70'). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1159.01. . <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to J. Bonner and D. Hardy, neighbors; Mr": Keihl, owner of <br />Space Age Design, (Mr.•Bower was sworn in from previous case). Proposal <br />was explained. Mr. Kiehl questioned how this would effect their planned <br />expansion. Mr. Bower explained that house was being set back in order to <br />keep trees on front of lot (corner of Bradley and Wild Oak) and to stay <br />as.far away from the Industrial Area as possible. Building Commissioner <br />Gundy advised that 25' set back is on Wild Oak and 50' set back is on <br />Bradley, variance is requested so that house will be about 150' from <br />Bradley Road.Mr. Kiehl is concerned that prospective buyer might not be <br />aware that there is a machine shop behind him. Mr. Bower advised that <br />.7 he does know it and that trees are to be left on property line and front
