ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and <br />T. Morgan <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko; Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, City Engineer J. Schaller, Councilmen R. Bierman <br />and R. Tallon, and Recordin; Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the minutes of December 11, 1984 as presented, <br />seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Adon Equipment Company, 23904 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct storage building on rear of property. <br />(Heard by the Architectural Board of Review December 19, 1984). <br />Proposal had been approved by the Architectural Board of Review on <br />December 16, 1984 as submitted. Fire Department had no objection to <br />hydrant location. J. Burns moved to approve the proposal to construct <br />a storage building by Adon Equipment Company at 23904 Lorain Rd. as <br />presented, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Carriage Carpet, 25151 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct an addition. <br />Building Commissioner Gundy explained that this is a 10,000 sq. ft. <br />addition to the east; two existing houses will be removed and all <br />three lots are to be assembled into one parcel; parking conforms to <br />code; Fire Department has advised that separation between building <br />and property line is adequate; work room will be below first floor <br />retail area but is at grade in rear. George Draeger, Architect, <br />advised that there is a possibility that a fourth lot can be ob- <br />tained, if so, revised proposal will be submitted. Addition will <br />match the existing building but will be set back 16' from present <br />building line; two access drives off Lorain Road are planned; park- ing will be provided in front and rear and arborvitae will be planted <br />on property line only behind addition. Neighbors, T. Sielatchki and <br />R. DiBello, viewed the plans. Mr. Sielatchki had many complaints <br />about existing conditions and promises that were not kept when <br />first building was constructed. He would like the owner to be pre- <br />sent so that these could be resolved. He requested that shrubs and <br />trees that are now on rear property remain as a buffer. He is con- <br />- cerned that when they connect into sewer which is in his yard, they <br />will not return yard to its present condition (he claimed that this
