r <br />? ., . <br />CITY OF NORTH OI.MSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MARCH 26, 1985 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:25 p.m. <br />Present: B. Gorris, T. Morgan, J. Burns, and J. Brown <br />Absent: E. Traczyk and J. Wixted. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law.Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner E. <br />Gundy, City Engineer J. Schaller, and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />T. Morgan moved to approve the minutes of March 12, 1985 as submitted, <br />seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />Chairman Burns announced that agerida would be amended in order to hear <br />Item 2, under NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISION, prior to hearing building <br />proposal for Great Northern Theatre. <br />2) Great Northern Shopping Center: <br />Relocation of existing sanitary sewer easement, as required due to <br />proposed.theater expansion. <br />City Engineer J. Schaller explained that it is necessarv to relocate <br />easement since of portion of the existing concrete sanitary sewer, <br />located under proposed addition, is to be abandoned and a new sewer in, <br />ductileiron will be constructed parallel to the existing one (also to <br />be located under the addition): new sewer will have two access manholes. <br />The Comnission was assured that.there were no codes prohibitinQ sewers <br />under the building and sewer would be vented outside. J. Brown moved <br />to approve the request of the Great Northern Shopping Center r.o re- <br />locate the existinQ sanitary sewer easement as provosed, seconded by <br />T. Morgan_ and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUtLDING DEPARTTIENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Great Northern Theatre, 26315 Great Northern Shopping Center. <br />Proposal to construct an addition to the rear of theater. <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review March 20, 1985. <br />Mr. Whitner of National Cinema Theatres, Mr. Martino, Architect, and R. <br />Carlisle of Great Northern advised that they'will compiy with the <br />Architectural.Boards requirements that dumpsters be enclosed'with a <br />brick pen and that 8 trees; either honey or mazine locust, will be <br />' planted along the rear wall. Chairman Burns•read the Fire Department <br />report: "Assistant Fire Chief Roger Osterhouse reviewed the plans
